Welcome :)

Normal breathing mods (exhaust and Air filter), 1bar boost and ECU Chip will see it close too 400 on a healthy engine (typically 350-380).

Then you can throw in some bolt on goodies such as Lightweigth Pulley, Decats..etc to free up a few more horses and improve response and spoolup.

Its getting it above 400 that it starts getting expensive (Bigger tubs, Injectors...etc)

Yeh the stock ECU can be remapped. We have quite a few specialists who can supply and fit remapped chip for around 100pounds.

well mine didnt, and a lot of other people's didnt either

Mine has been running it those mods for almost a year now, no issues, only thing i would say would be to replace the clutch, it will start to slip after a while

yea, just free it all up,

air filter, exhaust, and de-cat pipes, so free flowing.

then turn the boost up to around 14-15 PSI, (rediculas amount of difference)

the ECU will need to be chipped to allow the increased boost (gives it more fuel to balance the increased air)

i would have estimate that to be around 340BHP, others may say higher tho? which is good if correct! anyone got a higher figure based on the above mods?

well mine didnt, and a lot of other people's didnt either

are u sure????

a phrase from another thread from the guy who bought ur car

"Well as you all know i purchased my zed from stella knowing its needing a new engine anyways. today the knocking got slightly louder(harder) and i think its over fueling as it is very very strong when driving the car, so i think its time to get some help and get it into a garage for work."

zx engines are very unreliable when played with. just as mine and a load of others have proven to be without proper full rebuild work being done to make them reliable. becomes very expensive and alot of work.

I have been running the standard mods if you like for over 2 years...Not 1 problem to date.

I turned the boost right up to 14.5 max, on standard engine. engine is still good after 18 months, shame about the rest of the car

What he said mine wont hold at .9bar now :headvswal

it all boils down to how well the engine has been looked after, as stated before the engines are around 20 years old now, even if they are well looked after little defects will have grown by now

Running the max is always going to be hard on any engine! Be safe and run around 13psi of boost! Its the Injectors that max out at 14.5psi not the turbos so when your injectors max out and you run more boost they cant supply the fuel and you will be having some major DET! This will eventually make everything go bang!

Each to their own really but if your running old cruddy injectors... Dont push them at their max!

Det and running lean are different things either way you want to avoid both
