HICAS has different settings between USA and europe. Don't know how to adjust. Must be in a chip. Adjustable settings may refer to the US cars adj suspension?

All TT's have electronically adjustable rear shocks as standard. There is a little actuator on the top of the shocker that spins the adjuster turning the shock from soft to hard. You can get it to do it for diagnostics by ignition on and handbrake up one notch to get the handbrake light on. You can feel the difference.

I understand from others here that the icu turns them stiff when you floor it etc to save the rear from squatting. I didnt believe it till I changed the damn things and there it was! New shocks are stiff and stiffer

Seems US cars have a switch to do it manually. I daresay if you really wanted to you could wire a switch into the handbrake light circuit.

Does this apply to a jap spec 91tt?

that sounds interesting, does it apply to jap spec tt's anyone know?

Thanks guys, seem to have more gizmo's than inspector gadget on this old girl.
