on a general check over got code 34 [ o no ] well checked normal things wiring connectors etc all ok so fitted another det sensor to loom bolted to plenum for earth cleared ecu now got code 55. my question is can this s ensor be repositoned? anyone done this? anyadvice on driving the car with this fault? non moded standard u k 94 tt .nowdays drive quite sensible,never prolonged boost , who can on our roads ! your advice please

I have done this modification since my original det sensor failed. Obviously if you are working on the engine and can get access enough to change the original one then do so.

 

I have had no problems to date with this method.

This method is not the relocation, but just a bypass.

I was thinking this is the cheapest way to sort the problem, he wont be ragging it so there is minimal risk.
