I've just had the same dilemma with my four, the out come? i can always get another four, you can always get another 300. I have over the years owned and driven so many different cars, not all performance ones either, and I've loved them all for different reasons. I say go out into the world and experience something different.

Yeah Al, get one of these.

that looks like a new shape 4 door micra and a new shape 2 door mini has crashed and this is the result lol

what the fook is it, doubt i would get riddick in the back of that, doubt he would get in, he has standards lol

Fortunately the Diahatsu Trevis is not available over here. Think it's the result of the Japs taking 1 x Diahatsu Cuore and welding bits of Mini onto it with an aim to appeal to the types that like 'retro' cars...or the people that bought these...

thing is though isaac, ive always said the thing that got me into work and that has kept me there all this time when i could have quite easily have ended up round the bookies with my old school friends is my passion for nice cars

its not just a car be a means to and end so to speak, just think the passion for the zed has gone, i dont know maybe it hasnt woahhhhhhhh, nearly thought of keeping, time for a new motor and let the new owner has some fun as i have

I love cars too :)

What you have just said is your passion for CARS (not just your zed) has kept you on the straight n narrow as it were, so if you fancy a change then do it. Find another car to love - simples :D

i think the next motor will be 4wd and turbo'd, whether it be a pratstick, evo, or s4 who knows, may even be something totally different lol, i do know i fancy a change, if i had a storage area i would keep the zed as i have no debt on it apart from the repairs i put on my credit card, but they are easily paid off

Would'nt mind an evo myself - but i aint actively looking, i'll just wait and see if something comes up

Evos are so ugly though. Newer ones, not so much, infact the 8 and 9 are pretty cool and the 10 is lovely, but if they weren't to have all that superb running gear and engine, they'd just look like a chaved up taxi. Not to mention they don't actually sound that great. Inline-4 engines rarely do.

Thought about something slightly different like a Mazda 6 MPS? I really like these. 275bhp stock (4x4). 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. Only group 16 insurance.

I had a Mazda 6 sport on hire in the US and whilst the UK/lower spec models look shite, the top of the range ones look ok and I do like the interior.

I love the look of evo's :D

And i especially love the rate at which they move and the way they handle corners :D

i have actually si, there is a white one near me with graphite wheels on, looks really nice

I think they're nice. The 6 saloon was always quite a pert looking car. The US spec ones always look sporty (euro versions are very bland). The one I hired in California was identical to this. Very pleasant to drive. A friend of mine is looking at getting an MPS.

Hey Allan,

I voted "yes" you'll miss it........

.........The 300zx is one of those few cars with a (metaphorical, maybe) soul. It's the only car I've owned that I really became attached to.

I don't drive mine that much now - perhaps 3000 miles p/a - but each time I drive it, I realize what a great car it is. My daily drive is no bland crap mobile either; so I think that comment is justified :p

I've driven a couple of Evos and "Pratsticks" (great phrase for that particular car mate:bow:), and whilst they can be fast as well as posessing legendary handling, they left me cold. No style to match the substance IMO and they lack the class, presence and occasion of a classic GT car (such as a 300zx or a Porsche 928).

Did I enjoy driving the Scoobys and Evos? Yes. Would I own either one? No! For starters, they are as common as pigeon poo and look like any other family saloon but with an ironing board nailed to the boot. Also I found it hard to "pootle along" in either of them so no doubt I'd have no driving licence after a month or 2. Give me the ZX, 928gts or (old-ish) Aston V8 as a weekend toy (I'll keep my current daily driver) and I'll be happy.......

Richard:cool:

PS if it helps you Allan, I'd have the Audi S4 over an Evo or "Pratstick" :p

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I sold my last zed and i was gutted......i was trying to convince dan to sell me it back but he wasnt having it so i then went for the bmw i have now........which is possibly the nicest example of a bmw there is but as said in previous comments.......cars are to common like scoobys evo etc....when you see a 300 coming along the road which you rarely do it make you look at it and appreciate people have loved and cared for these cars and kept them going.

So thats why ihave clicked yes.

Yes you could go and get another zed etc but need to make sure its as well looked after matey.

I reckon you will miss it a bit mate , but then once you're behind the wheel of something else you develop a real fondness for it will be smiles galore

I think you will get a Z again one day though ?

Tell you what mate......Give it to me for free and I'll pop round on weekends so you can have supervised access.

I do however require maintenance payments...We can avoid the CSA tho, no need for it to get messy:tongue:
