sorry if i misled-i meant 20 thousand miles by the 20K in my first post.

All the same its still pretty low and fully documented too.

I absolutely love it

The car has an agreed value of £5K with cherished cars but can anyone tell me a rough true value.Im in no way trying to sell the car as its definately a keeper but i swapped my last car for it and hope i havent done myself up.Its 1989,imported in 2007,documented mileage of 33000 kilometres,as new interior and close to concourse bodywork, engineperfect(so far)non turbo, unmodified except K&N and stereo..

Any opinions are welcome,

Thanks all,

Chris

Car looks fantastic mate! Any plans? Hope you're keeping it pretty much as it is as it does look nice. Just to get rid of the orange bits would be the only thing I'd do. (99-spec rear lights and panel, clear wing repeaters and the series 2 front indicators).

I'd imagine it may have had a tap at the front as it's got a TT front bumper. Might have just been a style change that the previous owner went for. TT bumper looks nicer than the NA bumper.

looks very clean and tidy from the pics.

Your typical average condition 89 non turbo LWB Manual is only worth around 1500 these days, but with your very low mileage and top condition it would be hard to put a value on it. Its a rare enthusiasts car and value varies so much due to condition and spec.

Is that a proper agreed value insurance, and by that I mean you had to send them full spec list with half a dozen photo's, and/or they sent an assessor ? If not, and its just a value you gave them when you took out the policy then unfortunately its meaningless and they will ignore it and only ever pay out bottom market value.

Hi all again..

Thanks for all your welcomes and comments..

Im pretty sure the bumper is a style change as there is no evidence elsewhere of any kind of prang although you can never be sure.

The insurance is a proper agreed value. They have photographs and copies of all the documentation so I am safe as far as thats concerned..

I wasnt too worried whether i had "done alright or not" because i got the car to own not to sell(the one i chipped in for it cost me £2800 so im pretty happy and as mentioned the worthis really in the eyes of the beholder..

Anyway thanks again, this novice appreciates all the help i can get...

Chris
