After 5 months without my Zed I finally got to drive it again last night and it was just as good...no...BETTER than the first time I ever drove it!! And it was all thanks to Jimmer and Daryll!!

Just wanted to post up a HUGE thanks to both of them for a fantastic job! I've been a right pain in the arse, always umming and ahhing about what exactly I want and the direction I wanted to go in but Jimmer has been patient with me all the way, giving me unbiased advice.

Any request I had was met with a 'I'll give it a go' attitude which was such a welcome relief. In addition, the almost daily updates I got (both messages and pictures) was amazing as I could really see things taking shape! Not to mention the little goody pack I got when I picked the car up including a full breakdown of work carried out and plenty of pics! :)

Lastly, just a way of demonstrating what a top bloke Jimmer really is...he let me drop by his place at MIDNIGHT last night to pick up the car and had me stay til gone 1am just telling me about the car and all the work on it, etc!

So thanks to Jimmer and Daryll! I will no doubt be back many more times when I think up new improvements to the car and I realise you may want a vacation but I hope there's a line stretching from your door around the block with eager customers as you're an asset to the Zed community!!

(AlanZ...I'll see you on the runway mate! lol...)

I really am mate but I've still got a way to go as the auto box was playing up (though it seems to be ok now ) but I'm hoping for a manual conversion soon as well...:hyper:

Stu, the name's Vig! :)

I've listed all the work in my rides but I'm sure I've missed something. I'm sure Jimmer will be along shortly to correct my mistakes :wack:

I did have probs at the RR - I was lead to believe I had very poor compression in a few of the cylinders as well as a split in one of the oem intake pipes and knackered piston rings!! The car is now driving sweet as and is so responsive!! Plus I've got the upgraded bits (555s, bigger decats, divorced dpipes and bigger tubs and manifolds) and its all just giving such a smoother delivery of power to the tarmac.

The only limitation so far is my gearbox so its running stock boost/12psi at the mo but Jimmer has promised me a 24psi max so I'm looking forward to that!! :smash:

As for pics, I'm just sorting those out but here's a teaser...

Obviously there's a bit more I want to do to make it all look nice (hardpipes, etc) but one step at a time...

What turbo's you running matey?

And i will have a gearbox and the rest of the parts needed for a manual conversion, available within the next few weeks. And funnily enough, Jimmer's gonna have the stuff down at his ;)

I've got the Z1 GT535r tubs :)

That IS interesting about the gearbox though...may I ask how come they'll be available? What are you going for? Surely not an auto conversion??

Good choice! I put the GT600r's in mine, still not got them boosting anywhere near their potential yet though :D

No, i recently wrote off my TT Manual shortie but bought a LWB TT Manual with a knackered engine. So Jimmer is gonna put my rebuilt engine into the LWB and im gonna be stripping the shortie for parts.

Since i've no use for a second manual gearbox, may aswell sell it on and help out some other user ;)

Not sure what's going on here  but I'll pm you bud (Shrek) and see if we can come to an arrangement. My dilemma being that I was only going for a manny conversion as my auto was shagged...or so i thought! Jimmer changed the oil for me and it seems to be behaving itself. I'll be doing a lot of motorway mileage tomorrow so should hopefully get a better idea so we can go from there!

Cheers bud :)

Glad you're happy mate. Jimmer's a good friend of mine. Also one of the few people I'd have work on my car. Top guy and takes a lot of pride in what he does.

I did indeed go forged :D

I haven't actually been to Jimmer's garage as the car was recovered there and I picked it up from his house so you;ll have to ask him I'm afraid! lol
