I've got a Dell Lattitude too for work.

It does the job ok, but TBH the screen is crap compared to my old Thinkpad.

Everybody tells me Dell's are rubbish, but i've had mine for coming on 3/4 years now with only very minor problems - which were infact my own fault anyway!!!

Well recommended from me.

I back Toshiba 100% had 2laptops in like 8years and only bought the 2nd as an upgrade and had 0 probs with either!!

Toshiba all the way!!

2nd hand dell lattitude here.No problems.

Would buy another. My works uses dells, oily, dirty smoky atmophere, with magnetic fields from welding robots+ boringly reliable.

TBH there are some very cheap cr@p laptops these days which seem to make dells the better option, my parents have a dell and has been ok but has an intel celeron which are a really poor cpu and vista just kills it, but i wouldn't give my macbook up for any of them:bow:

ive got the studio 15 and its fine, the only thing i dont like is the touch pad, its a bit hit and miss sometimes but apart from that i love it

Mike

Hate them. had two of them, first one broke after 2 weeks. the replacement lasted 3 months so i got a refund after legal advice. And believe it or not i worked for them at the time. Am using Toshiba now and its the biz. Highly abused and full of crap but still works like new.

My works laptop is a Dell Latitude. It's getting on a bit and is due for replacement next year, but it's pretty reasonable and quite robust. Not as good as my Compaq, but I paid about £800 for that.

Most large companies use Dell Laptops for all their staff, by far the most sold laptop out there. I've had about half a dozen over the years and always been happy with them.

Dell are pretty good generally, please don't buy a Toshiba though, Toshiba's used to be good when they made laptops themselves, most of the retail ones they sell now are quite frankly pants.
