Bov's ..who's got 'em ... any running probs?

Before I get my bov's fitted as my circies are shagged and honkin, anyone had any idling or over rich running issues / anything at all negative (apart from those who don't like the sound, I'm not overly kean on the sound but do not have brand new recirc fundings so not a real option and it's an auto so won't hear them too often)

cheers for any input

It depends on the brand mate, some dont make any issues, some cause stalling when you are hard on the brakes or blip the throttle.

Mine cause no issue what so ever, but i have had some bad ones in the past.

TurboXs all the way!

I have the apexi bovs its an auto and only hear it if im driving really hard other wise not a sound out of them.

So far so good they have been on for 2months now.

What do you mean when you say running over rich?

I think what pete's referring to (correct me if i'm wrong) are most bovs are adjustable springs settings and can be set to open a varying pressure, becoming a standing boost leak in a sense if not set high enough. Plus bad installation etc. Easy enough to install tho!

I'm not a big fan of the sound but it's more the way the system is designed to measure air with a maf is what my issue is with them. It's nothing massive, just something to be aware of if the engine does start misbehaving as a possible starting point.

I feel bad now. Was just pointing out a possible issue because jeff mentioned about issues with weak springs. I doubt the car will self destruct lol with them in, being an auto as well means that if your committed with the right foot there will be very little "dumping"!

HTH

ive had apexi's on mine both while it was an auto and now as a manual - generally never had a problem with them, except during heavy braking while the clutch was in it would try and stall - turned out the springs weren't set hard enough and were letting air in. other than that, no problems.
