hi, first post on this, i recently bought my 300zx TT manual, it soon developed a missfire i was told it was the fuel injectors so set about removing them. now finally got it back together and it still has the miss fire :( and now developed a brake problem too.

im very keen to get it on the road fully servicable, but i need a good place to send it or have somone come and look at it.

any advaice would be apprecaited

take it to d2 in kent mate. they are excellent and will sort it out for you. type d2 vehicle services into google and the one with the postcode me2 2ae is the right one.

hello and welcome to the club. i dont suppose its a black 2+2 and your blond ?

oh and worth checking all your injector connectors and coil pack connectors for corrosion. could also be the ptu which can cause problems when warm (usually) worth getting it on a consult or datascan where it could possibly isolate the problem.

 

i have datascan and could run a basic diagnostics for you from an amature mechanics point of view for you and im only in winton?

Try the connection to the ptu, Your zed had a bit of a rubbish clip on it.On left front of engine, under intake pipes.Its the connector, rather than the ptu unit.

Whats the brake problem? Btw,it has a rebuilt mk2 master cylinder on it.

it is a black 2+2 but im not blond..

after having the plenum off to change the injectors, since putting it all back together i have disturbed somthing on the brakes.

when the car is switched off there is resistance on the brake pedal, when the engine is on there is no resistance unles pressed quickly twice, but after only a couple of seconds this pressure is gone.

the handbrake works, and the brake light on the dash is on!

Thanks for letting me know simon, it was that causing the problem.

It was one of the bits i had forgotten, the clip was all bent up + i never thought to ask zedworld if they could send me one.
