You can't even flush a drug dealers head down the bog anymore:D

I remember last year in spain some drunk lout giving it large to the local police force thinking he was all that, he kept running at them threateningly lashing out, he'd been fighting in a bar and he was covered in blood but just didnt give up, one of them just punched him in the nose with a swift jab and knocked him to the floor, carried him off to the van job done. There was huge cheer and applause from the people watching, everyone was shouting at the lout to give it up, but obviously too thick to realise it would only end in tears.

lol! - very middle aged response in all, my fault, i should'v realised most of you havent come into contact with a real police officer in many years now, unfortunately my generation (the tossers) are now (sadly) working 'on the force' and are more bent, dodgy, dangerous, angry and suffering from what i call 'short man syndrome' than ever before and feel the need to assert there pathetic ego upon the general public which is fine on the idiots who drive saxos into walls and rob old lady's but not to the rest of us trying to get by - yes its a job yes its a tough one, but if your not cut out for it then why join? what is seen in those pictures are examples of unintelligent lower class scum bags dressed as police officers retaliating as if they were in school.......... if i was alone in this thought process it would not be front page news and it would not be a major issue, i deal with the police on a nightly basis and as some of you said there just doing there job...... the police force wasn't just a job it was a way of life, 30 40 years ago EVERYONE had respect for the police because there was no media coverage of the shit ones i guess mainly but subsequently when you came to one for advice or to ask for directions in the street or whatever you got a very polite well spoken answer, now your just as likely to be told to **** off...... maybe its a sign on the times, but the more this sort of shite is publicized the less of this country we'll have left in 50 years time the police should'v never lowered them selves to this standard, some high up people probably think this attitude helps public relations and bridges the gap in class's, however when a copper open his mouth and sounds like an angry young chav i instantly loose all respect for them, but all you can do is sit back and blame my generation.....lol!! funny old world aint it...

I disagree strongly with your comments bud, sure I'm middle aged but it could be if I hadnt much dealings with police officers I wouldnt have known any better so might have agreed with your comments. But for the last 10 years Ive worked with or had dealings with hundreds of different officers from all of the Scottish Forces and met some English officers too. TBH you couldnt be further from the truth, yep Ive met a few i'd describe as gung ho! or jobs worths but they do it for the right reasons. Not once have I met a police officer I would have even slightest notion of likening to a chav. The vast majority believe it or not are decent guy's doing a hard thankless job..... I am often amazed at the restraint they show when dealing with some of our most salubrious members of the public, if it was me I'd have had the pepper spray or baton out.

The truth is its getting harder all the time for the police to do their jobs effectively. Their hands are often tied in red tape. There is now a lot less respect for them, with more people ready to have a go at them. If they make a stand they are critised from the press, the government watchdogs, internally and even the scum that they are trying to protect us from ffs. The country is full of con artists, thieves, rapists, muggers, murderers, thugs, junkies, drug dealers and terrorists, please slag off all these before starting on the police cause without them we would all be worse off

ps forgot to add speeders to the list of miscreants

I'm from Nottingham and the guy getting tasered lives near me. A middle aged repeat offender, waster, offers nothing to society and now a group of honest, hardworking people could lose there jobs because of him and he will probably get shitloads of compo. Should have just shot the dick and done the world a favour.

that's pretty horrendous, do you like the idea of the holocaust too?

2500 people killed by there own army over 10,000 wounded exactly 20 years ago.... this 1 student stood up to 4 tanks not because he had a shaved head and more testoesterone than he knew what to do with, but because he'd had enough of a communistic authority...

seems some people on here would really enjoy a dictatorship with a dash of communism.... thank god ital die with that generation, evolution is a wonderful thing imo

that's pretty horrendous, do you like the idea of the holocaust too?

If it gets rid of the shit from the world that do noithing that bring it down I dont care personaly.

What between a communist state and some low life getting tasered because he wouldn't let police arrest him and you now thinking that all police are in some way corrupt? Somehow, I think you may have a chip on your shoulder. I am not middle aged, so I am talking from a younger perspective.

Again, not having a go, just questioning your hatred.

regardless of what the low life did there was absolutely no need for the second shot, he could'v been adolf hitler lying on the floor the copper should have the brains and the forethought not to have done it, my fear is the copper did it out of anger and or revenge............. now your talking fascism, totalitarianism which if left to go un noticed or swept away by government / society becomes your first rung on the communism ladder, which wont happen as long as like-minded politicians, i do have a bit of a chip on my shoulder yes, on a nightly basis i can speak to good cop and bad cop but 9 times out of 10 its 20 yearold cop handbreaking a tau unit across a carpark then trying to drift with the worlds most open transit diff! lol...... this does bowed well for car enthusiast relations however lowering themselves to our level only confuses things when they turn up to arrest some stoner's (this all probably makes no sense whatsoever) they assume my car is that of a drug dealer therefore i have had my car striped in the past and of course found nothing and again in march, i dont even smoke nor do i drink so go figure! lol! the land is owned by a privet company that allows us on an to whatever we like providing we dont sue or damage the grounds this includes drift on a thursday and drag racing on a friday (if erlam is closed off) now were not talking 3 -5 saddos who turn up for a chat n a smoke, were talking 40+ every night well organised car enthusiasts, and because we're all ex skaters were all pretty easy to get on with....... its all very odd, not the norm, however the police prefer us there and not in the pub for obvious reasons but like i said there have been some enormous kick offs on the police behalf in the past most that were un necessary and in part caused by a young police man and his 'short man syndrome'

im not saying im right or that its the gospel but what happened imo was yet another step towards chaos

that's pretty horrendous, do you like the idea of the holocaust too?

So you are comparing 6 million innocent Jews being tortured, experimented on and gassed to a scumbag getting tasered?

To answer your question I dont like the idea of the holocaust but i do like the idea of someone who, having just beat up two bouncers and a policeman, getting a taste of his own medicine.

Smash the regieme! "The MAN" must fall!

Really??!

To be fair, the guy most likely got what he was asking for, if not an example made of someone is not a bad thing, puts other people of doing what ever he did. End of the day its a tough job, and although most people might not like the police, its only because they dont want to get caught breaking a rule! Also i might add, anything that gets the adrenalin pumping might sometimes make people more enthusiastic if that means a guy gets a zap from a taser one too many times who are we to really give a dam. Its hardly like they are firing it at random people in the street!

Much like the silly bint at the G20 protest, i atually laughed when i heard that on the radio that she'dbeen given a smack in the chops, classic!

Now i have to say that the guy that got pushed that fell over and had a heart attack that was perhaps a mistake, the guy had nothing to do with it (so were told) and it of course wasnt the act of falling over that gave him the heart attack, just the shock of it. So lets say someone had made it jump at a party that night, would that have been game over for him as well??

Just out if interest Alxlaw, whats your age band?

TBH, if the guy was a known prolific offender and the officer knew that and felt threatened by any of his actions or language, then I don't blame him for using a taser and IMO, has every right to. Come on, it's not like they shot him or anything.

lol true true, taser the guy, thats fine, hes on the floor and 'apprehended' but why the second shot? i have no qualm with tasering btw, its the police mans school yard second shot that gets me

Oh come on, you dont think that if every murderer, rapest, peadophile, mugger and general low life scum were rounded up onto an island and blown to hell the world would be a better place?

Sounds like somewhere I'd like to live! :duffer:

Like I said, if the officer may have felt threatened, then he's within his right, the video is very blurry and sound quality non-existent. I can't understand why you continue to stick up for him? If the guy is continuing to be verbal and aggressive, then to save further injury to anyone or any escalation of the immediate situation, tasering seems the ideal solution. They could have beaten him with a baton!

Should have sent him to my island :D

Where Canvey would there be enough room Nick?

well i see an un necessary 2nd shot and thankfully so did the media and general public thats what matters dont get me wrong the cop shouldn't loose his job but i bet when he watches it back he feels sick

If the police had given him a second shot after he had been cuffed and had stopped resisting then yes that would have been wrong/unjust and maybe unlawful..... but he is still resisting and not putting his arms out to be cuffed, you can hear the police shouting at him to put his arms out(he could have anything in his pockets) until he does that.... keep shocking the fooker

thought you were reffering to the holocaust reference

I was , the word holocaust just means mass massicre. It is not a reference solely for the WW" holocaust by the Nazi's

As with all people, in all societies, you will always get 'exceptions', people that react offensive in different circumstances, its human nature. I used to admire the Police for doing what is a difficult job, but not any more. When I first got my black zed I was driving in Cheddar at about 25 mph, and got followed and then blue lighted. Because my back windows are blacked out, he was shocked to see an old git like me climb out of the drivers seat. His first words were, 'is this your car', I confirmed it was and asked if there was a problem. He then started to look over the car trying to find something 'wrong' which there was not. He mentioned that my rear number plate ws perhaps undersize, which it is as it is an import and a larger plate would not fit in the frame. He was sneery and offhand and finally left when his phone went off. On another accasion I was on a main road in Bristol, and a Police car with Blues and two's going came flying out of a side turning from behind a bus, we nearly collided. He stopped and reversed and shouted that if he was not on an emergency, he would be giving me a talking too ? He was the one that came out blind from behind a bus onto my side of the road !! what an arse. Then you read in the papers about them speeding in built up areas for no reason at all, getting a ticket and then getting let off. Why ?? they are breaking the law which they would enforce if it was you. I know their job is difficult, but so is a Doctors, a Paramedic, a nurse etc., but they all have to stay within the law, and so should they. Even though some get caught drunk driving, they are allowed to stay in the force on office duty or pavement bashing until the ban is up. Does that sound fair ! I think that they are becoming too powerful and that they should be more answerable to a public body not their own complaints body.
