As above happens all the time! the pump will just click yeah? , short blast of petrol then same click again?, i always hold the nozzle far right on an angle ,or simply remove nozzle when you get the click wait a sec and put back in , works fine then

some seem to be worse that others for this though always more noticeable to me at Texaco stations

just think of it like this if it takes a little longer to put in

your money stays in your account longer

bonus is you don't use the petrol if your not using the car

thank god someone else has said this lol. I have to look like a tit every time i fill up and i pretty much have to hold the nozzle upside down to get it to work. i used to hold the nozzle out of the tank and squirt it in kinda thing, but after getting covered in petrol 2 or 3 times i decided it wasnt the best way of doing it.

Always had same issue with all makes of Imports I've had. Its to do with the different pump nozzle sizes they use, ours are thicker and so dont go in far enough to push the flap open properly.

The trick is to find the right angle, dont put it in so far, and don't squeeze the trigger all the way.

afaik its some kind of safety thingy with the neck of the tank, you just put the pump nozzle in a little bit, eg not as far as with a normal car and its fine.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

i just put nozzle in half way and it works fine. i get about 80miles from £20 is this about normal from a tt??

Yep just don't put it all the way in, I can brim mine without it clicking off using this method,

18mpg is about right for normal town driving, i can get 26 on mway.

Your getting about 20 mpg - depends how and where you drive.

About right for inner city/suburban driving i'd reckon

I don't have any problem with this. Have you tried not squeezing the trigger all the way hence slowing down the fill rate - this usually works...

Also top end of stock TT is apparently around 160mph unrestricted. Maybe a touch higher.
