June 13, 200916 yr Author Service advisor and dogs body for Chrysler Jeep and Dodge W-ton. The only fault with my plan is we dont do sundays but the way kwik fit and other like garages are going im sure we will in time.

Sounds interesting to be fair i always wanted to get in to the motor trade not very mechanically minded though so it would be in sales prob lol, i do something similar now (sales and support) for a division of Siemens and yep allot more people in the car trade seem to opening longer hr's and weekends ? only if i got extra pay for weekend shifts :cool:

June 13, 200916 yr i get overtime for weekends but only up till 1, anything over that i dont get paid. been in the motor trade since school and to be honest wish i didnt. customers am ar**holes Lol , i can relate to that there a pain !!, i got to motor vehicle engineering nvq level 2 in college but forgot most of what i learned :mad: , i'll have a go at the more easier jobs but anything i don’t understand i'll put my hands up and take it somewhere i kind of did always want to be a mechanic ,but after being in customer services for over 5 yrs now , i can only imagine some of the issues you get :cool: Chris
June 13, 200916 yr i dont miss working weekends at all! in my old job it was shift work and id be working all over the place - sundays, saturdays, weekdays. glad i jacked that one in! the only beenfit was having a weekday off so places you wanted to go were actually open! (banks, shops, etc)

I would never talk to people in the way they do to me, but they do seem to get their own way with the management. id like to tell them to put their car where the sun doesnt shine lol.

Sounds about right !! i always go to the local type of garage as there great! and always that little more friendly, but yep i bet u've had a few people come back and say this aint been changed and you where supposed to do this!!! when u've (A) clearly changed the item's, or (B) done the work they requested Annoyed the hell outta me and i was only on the sale counter !!
