Have a few bird shit stains from a severe albatross attack yesterday. Washed it pretty much straight away but you can see where they peppered it-any tips for getting rid?

Also anyone recommend a particular wax/cleaning methods? I'm using the old two bucket rule at the mo' with Turtle wax shampoo and then a monthly wax with something I've forgotten the name of but it clearly isn't giving it much protection.

I'm going to have stop feeding the cat I think.

use a good compound and polish. but if u only compound the affected area it will show up the rest of the car so you may as well do the whole thing. make sure the car is wet when compounding and use a good polish. for dark coloured cars i think mer is a v good polish. also compound doesnt removes tar so detar it first. seems like alot for bird s--t but it'll be worth it in the end.

I've always just managed to get it off with a wash and then just a good application of turtle wax and buff up!!

if they are proving awkward as said you could try t-cut or some rubbing compound

(I’ve always used 3M fast cut compound)

Chris :)

T-Cut to the rescue, bird turd is no more. Thanks fellas.

Give it a layer or 2 of good wax polish now. That way if it happens again the turd will eat into the wax protection and not your paintwork;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
