ummmmm. did the rest or the car rot away??

errr ...NO! It lost an argument with a 9" angle grinder:x:

You scrapped the mint shell? Shame. Although I guess none of the people on here with rotten UK cars didn't think it would be a good idea to buy that shell?

no one can be bothered to do a complete re-shell i guess

Sadly that looks like it .

I have no space to keep it and Im not interested in 2+2s anyway.

every square inch was like new.

the laugh is that I have cut off the arches/sill closers and the front lower support panel and someone will buy them to weld on to their UK shell:) I just need to drill out a few spot welds and.. voila... a set of arch and sill repair panels will appear!:)

It's also so case of credit crunch outways sentiment, as rare and as nice as this shell is (was) its just a nicely shaped piece of steel, glad I got to see it in the flesh before it was sent off to be recycled.

Jeez bet your neighbours love you:rofl: seriously though do you have any grief from the council etc. working on cars from home? just wondered how it is these days.

The neighbours do love me cos I help them fix their cars for free!!

30 minutes with the angle grinder to cut up. The rest of the job was done in total silence really.

I only average one or maybe two breakers a year so very little disturbance really.

i dont work on other peoples cars only my own so no angle for any council official to investigate. With this car I was "helping a friend(Keith 5700)"

Its highly unlikely that I will have another breaker this year now as Im busy finishing off a long term 240Z rebuild and then I need to get back on building /finishing my new slicktop.
