What have you guys done? I still have my originals and they are crap, should I get 4x 6x9's or replace the old ones with the same shape but modern ones?

Get some 6.5" front component speakers and a 10" subwoofer and Amp for the boot.

You can get 6x4 JBL's for the rear that are a direct fit, although personally I wouldn't bother with the rears.

Personally i have original sized uprated front speakers - nice high RMS wattage  And that way they are very easy to fit etc.....

As for the rear, at the moment i have 6x9's, however when i get my sub enclosers i will be replacing my original rears with high RMS wattage original sized ones, along with an amp and 2x 12" subs :D :nana2:

No idea what the sound will be like with those cos they aint fitted yet lol, but i'm sure it'll be more than enough for me :D

Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same, I already have an amp and 12" jbl sub not fitted, this seems like the easyiest option, no cutting and getting it wrong.

I've put JBL GTO525e's, 135watt, in the front, and it came with some Longmill 180 watt's in the rear (will prob change to JBL's at some point, if I've still got it) both are standard size, but then I don't really want to deafen myself while driving (not that I do drive it at the moment) I'd rather listen to the zorst note anyway

Typo

I've got Alpine speakers front and rear with an amp and 12" Alpine sub in the boot. Pretty pleased with it, but would like some decent component speakers in the front.

Looking at these...
