Where can i find the ptu unit? I followed what was discribed to me on another thread but im either blind or stupid.......or maybe both :-s

Would somebody happen to hav a pic of it or where it is so i can find it please??

As you look in the engine bay, to the left, small box with fins aprox 3" square, near the upper plenum/timing belt cover, under the plenum intake tubing.

So you are saying then that yours looks like this one...

Well that one is a series 2 PTU (NOT to be confused with a Series 2 Z32, as they are not related like that) It's very rare that one of these will suffer from the usual faults that befit the Series 1 PTU (ie; the silver 'Finned' version)

I believe that you can not retro-fit a Series 1 PTU onto a car that was factory fitted with a Series 2 PTU. This is because the plugs are different between the 2 different versions. Now you CAN fit a Series 2 PTU into a car that was factory fitted with a Series 1 PTU, because the new PTU comes with an adaptor loom section that will convert the older style plug couplers to the new type.
