gearbox oil cooler

hia all just a quick question.ive started an auto to manual conversion on my 1990 j spec tt :).the manual gearbox ive puchased is a uk spec that has an external oil cooler .fortunately i didnt get the cooler with it.question is can i blank off the holes for the pipe unions with some bolts i have or do i need to just connect the pipes together........lee

    Which ever way you feel comfy with. many people loop a pipe from top to bottom as its easy and simple to do .

    I would buy an aftermarket oil cooler and pump or get hold of a UK spec one as it was there for a good reason even with standard boost. Your be safe with daily driving blanking it off but if you do any track days or lots of fast road use your loose reliability in my opinion.
