Del I asked the question when I stripped the car. There was an oil cooler at the rear of the car and I was told u dont need it so I never strippped it off the car as it was rotten. I was gonna blank the pipes.

I take it the bolts arrived?

Cheers John

dont blank the pipes, they or atleast one is a breather. second hand switches are rife, check the trade section but, you only need the reverse switch.

the cooler at the back of the car would have been a diff cooler so dont worry about that.

the rear cooler on TT & NA?

are they required? or just un-necessary bits and bobs,

dont think that when you buy an upgraded diff (like Kaaz) they dont need cooling? or am i just guessing

yeah mate they all came completly forgot to pm you to say they had arrived lol. i take it the box is from a uk car thats why it has the cooler pipes. the mechanic was going to have a check about what to do with them as the ones he has done before have all ben jap boxs so no cooler pipes i just thought id post up here see if i could find out. he was well chuffed when i took up the stuff though, think he was worried what id all bring him lol

LOL at least the stuff arrived thats the main thing. I see in some previous posts people are saying the cooler at the rear is for the diff, the car I broke the pipes went to the rear from the box. I was gonna link the pipes together with a bit of silicone hose, does the same job.

Cheers John

The two pipe connections you have on your gearbox are for the gear box cooler fitted to the uk car.

There NOT BREATHERS. so you must either blank or as you say loop a pipe to them just to seal them up mate.

The gear box is vented it has a small beather at the top. little brass pipe. comming out and bent over.

The holes on the side are not breathers.

I used a UK gearbox for my manual conversion which had the cooler pipes on the side. In my case I removed the pipes and blanked the holes with appropriate bolts and washers.

I haven't had any problems with this.

As for the neutral switch - I am led to believe it is not needed, although you need to know that your timing will read 25 on Consult/Datascan even though it is (or should be) 15 when checked with a timing gun. I am running my car without the neutral switch wired and all is fine....
