Im not with the car today, but ill check that tomorrow. All i have is the chassis number and my local nissan dealer needs a 17 digit code number to tell me what it is?

Yep there is a date stamped on various items, including the seatbelts, however these are not conclusive since they could of been changes (the belts in particular are often changed as they have a habit of sagging and sticking a lot).

 

For registration with DVLA you would need documented proof. The number Nissan will want is on the VIN plate in engine bay.

If this vehicle is a recent import and you do not have any documentation from the Importer to enable registration in this country, it will only be a breaker. If it has previously been registered, the VIN number on the plate under the bonnet would get its details from the DVLA.

As Old Zed has said, its recently been imported and will be a breaker. Im not great with the zx yet, but ill need to know what car/model and year before i start breaking it

why do you need to know if your just breaking it? A bit bad you've been given it with no details at all

If its got rear seats its a LWB. SWB is a 2seater.

Cheers all, ive checked all the interior date stamps etc, it all seems to say its a 1990. I can now carry on and start stripping bits off
