Is it that you fix your Z and then find even more wrong? LOL

Finished fitting my brakes and just need them bleeding tomorrow.

Put my rear wheel back on and noticed a screw through an almost new 295 tyre!

Tyre hasn't moved in a year so it's been there ages and hasn't gone down.

I started to unscrew it hoping it might be a small one but noooo it started to hiss and the thing is about 2 inches long.

God knows how it got stuck in there.

It never ends!

I'd be tempted myself but I haven't got a spare in the boot so can't risk it going down next time I'm 100 miles from home LOL

Screwed it back in and it's stayed up :D

i think what has happened is-you have drove over a nail or screw

Yeah but how does a 2" long screw get straight in through a tyre it's not like it was standing on end in the road LOL

wont cost much to repair it chap

Will take it tomorrow and see if they can fix it.

Fingers crossed!

i did one for a customer that had a whole screwdriver in it

Was talking to the guys at the tyre shop today and they said they've had screwdrivers, allen keys, tent pegs and even a wheel brace before  LOL

They said it's always in the back tyres because they get kicked up by the fronts and as the rear rotates onto it they get hammered straight in.

Mine is always wear and tear from getting a good thrashing but I seem to just kill tyres, brakes, gearboxes and clutches in no time.

Drove the car the other day and the box is whining so loud it's going to go very soon.

Need to keep an eye out for a good used box or get a stronger gear kit ordered.

Have you had any ideas with your box Iain?

Well I took the wheel off again to take it to see if they could repair it.

As I had a bit of wear on the inside edges I decided to take both the rears and get them swapped over side to side.

Got there and handed the wheels over.

I thought you said it was a screw he says, as he spots a nail and pulls it out the tyre.

4 inches long! And in the other wheel so good job I took both down!

Lucky thing is the guy in the shop had already booked it in as one puncture repair so I got both repaired and fitted for £15 :D

Bargain although when I got home and looked at the wheel he's put LOADS of balancing weights on it.

Never seen anything like it will take a pic tomorrow and see what you all think.

Sounds good!

Mine sounds like something off a rally car at the moment LOL

yeah with a punctured tyre the balancing is well out as the material used adds unbalanced weight so more weight is needed to counter balance it. I once had two punctures in one tyre and loads of balance weights lol

My brand new nissan box lasted less than 1500 miles:rofl:

Mine was off a very low mileage car and seemed like new.

It's done a couple of thousand at most since the engine rebuild and big turbos went on and it's killed it :( :( :(

Why didn't I buy a non turbo all those years ago LOL

Got a nail in one of the fiesta' tyres at the min :( it's been there since early feb , but pressure hasn’t budged , don’t use it at the min
