Another vid of the 500zx, bit of a compilation. Prob be the last one until I get to the dyno as it's still only locked to about 60% throttle and 7k rpm at the minute.

Shame the video camera doesn't really capture the sound properly though, on the drive by, it sounds immense when you're actually there! Proper spine tingling!

You lucky lucky git

Sounds absolutely amazing mate, i have to say it's videos like that that make me want to work flat out to get mine on the road. Admittedly it won't be anything near that in sound lol

So that's at 7500RPM then? It's already starting to sound like a ferrari, so at 9k i hate to think what reaction that's going to get in the trouser department

How much petrol have you got through so far?

  OMFG . That had my jaw to the floor watching that. Very Ferrari/exotic !

and thats just 60% profit and restricted rpm  ****ing hell....full throttle and 9k limit is going to be Incredible.

A race built Nissan V8 in a Nissan 300zx, it could not get any better than that !!!

Edited by Yowser

I wish Nissan had kept with their initial plans to use the Vh45 when they were designing the 300zx instead of wimping out and changing to the VG30

Combination I think of V. high compression (~12:1), big overlap cams, tubular manfolds and the trumpets on the ITB's.

PLEASE MR DIXON MAY WE HAVE ANOTHER!

What an amzing sound :hyper:

Is that one of my nismo bonnet vents??

Nope. I brought over 2 SPL vents through my mate in Japan, one for John and one for me. Same as the ones on the SPL time attack car :)

I might need one actually mate, that chevy's going ot be chucking out a lot of heat and that air filter needs some cold air so may have to lose the totally stock look and have some bonnet vents :(

Super charger anyone?

Noooooooooooo :wack:

Not with 12:1 compression anyway!! Seriously though, you don't need it on this. It's quick enough unless you want to do serious drag racing or something.

Its odd how NA horses feel about twice as big as turbo ones.

Will see what I can do!

Maybe get one on the dyno next time, try and catch the induction noise.
