was driving home 2day and clutch went, its not slipping just cant get into gear unless turn off and move off with starter, got under car and brother pushed the clutch no leaks and cylinders pushing forward, what could be the causes could it be bent fork if it is can i change without taking box off thank you

Is the slave cylinder pushing forwards enough though tho? Was there any noises before it went? Did you try to bleed it? Does it change gear ok when moving? Sounds like its just not got enough travel. Maybe worn seals in the master or slave cylinders. If the fork or release bearing or anything inside the bell housing has gone then the box needs to come off.

i had exactly the same problem turned out that the holder the release bearing was sat on had fractured and broken causing the fork to slip off so was not engaging properly!

just looked through again and its seems the fork is straight and pushinhg pressure plate forward but obviously not enough, bloody car gonna take box off only fitted new clutch a month or so ago ha ha

when i reffited my new holder about 50 mile later the fork had slipped off but only on one side and couldnt notice until i dropped the box off! replaced the spring clamp and is working fine now
