Safety boost?

Yes... I believe it is... I think, and stand to be corrected, that the only time you won't go into safety boost is if you have an external boost controller... then the ECU cannot restrict the turbo solonoids (spelling) and therefore won't put the car into safety boost... at least that's the way I understand it... hth

So say for example if i had a profec b it cant physically go into safety boost??

Yes... as the boost controller controls the Turbo/boost solonoids (I think) and the ECU doesn't so cannot physically limit the amount of boost being delivered... BUT this does mean that engine damage can occur if something goes wrong (i.e. Det) and you don't pick up on it...

Thats what i thought, just needed to someone to conform it for me as i might buy a afr gauge soon and as im running 14 psi on boost jets i wondered if i was running to lean (maxing out injectors) i thought my boost jets would stop the car going into safety boost and cause unknown damage (det) without me realising! If anybody else would like to conform this is rite then muchos grasias:bow::bow:
