I just wanted to ask the question to get some idea of what people think.

I love hicas its a brilliant system and in the past its been a life saver for sure.

Iv seen Hicas blamed for poor stabilty etc but more often than not this has been caused by other reasons when investigations have been done.

Whats every one else think?

Daz.

i like it, great on paper but like above just more to go wrong over time. Dont want to get rid tho as want the car to be standard.

when working well im sure its great, but at the age of our cars its better off one (as mine is), ive also read that highly tuned zeds suffer with the back end whipping out under hard acceleration

Not quite sure what that has to do with the HICAS system though!! Just what happens with lots of power through the rear wheels?? ;) I'm sure someone will be along soon to correct me :D lol

I travelled to Nurburgring last year, got all the way there..... then the hicas arm falls out!?!??!

My hicas has now been removed, and it feels great, nice and tight at the rear end... STOP IT!!!! LOL!!

I blame you

....anyway....back on topic....

I couldn't really get used to it - so i got rid of mine. I'm sure it's good when working properly. That said - if it was that good surely Nissan would have used it on other models...

ok back on topic.....

when i got my 300, 6 years ago, i took it to mike feeny for a service and check over, and he said to me, "get rid of the hicas, nothing but aggro" and i thought, no, i like it. now, 6 years down the line and......hicas is gone. words of a very wise man.

Al.

my hicas seems to work fine, they seem to have developed a great car so why change it, with regards to things breaking. i had a ford once with knackered shocks on the rear, after a long journey they broke, i had them replaced and it felt like a different car.........BUT I WOULD NOT WANT ONE WITHOUT SHOCKS. ah ha:tongue:
