Does anyone know/have the dimensions for the 4 intake pipes? I have a friend who might be able to manufacture them in different materials but would require detailed measurements. Not sure if this is possible but just seeing what's possible really...

Thanks

Are you coming to Surrey Rolling road this weekend, if so i will a complete set of all pipes, you can use to get a spec off.

Hows the rebuild coming, hasnt Jimmer got it.

Smithy spent a lot of time and money researching and developing these hard pipe kits. It is not as easy as getting some pipes bent as you need to retain the diameter of the pipe. This means mandrel bending the pipes but that is a problem also because you can't mandrel bend the same pipe too close together (ie two bends within a certain length of pipe). If you do you'll split the pipe. Of course I'm talking about stainless steel here. Mild steel you'll need to cut and weld which will leave you with horrendous seams and potential for oxidation/rust. Also, two of the pipes are tapered, as in they're wider at one end than at the other.

If I were you I'd not bother looking to manufacture these in various materials. We already do them in polished stainless, other manufacturers do them in aluminium (Injen) and mild steel (GReddy/HKS) and I also do them in full silicone. Trust me, there market is well and truly covered.

Haha...thanks for the update Jimmer and yes, I have told Jimmy but he must've forgotten! It'll look nicer than his anyways :p

I mean, what other colour would suit a RED zed? haha...

...as for the manufacture of the pipes, thanks for the words of wisdom Dan! I hadn't given it much thought but just really like the idea of carbon fibre pipes (obviously with steel/silicon inside?).

Might just have to scour jap sites to get some I guess.

Stu - I'm afraid I won't be at the RR day this weekend. I was hoping to come down with Jimmy if he came but I completely forgot I was on a lads weekend.....in CORNWALL!! haha...but very true!
