yes they do look slow, and Im sure a lot of them were going slow, not all of them though. It feels a LOT faster when your in it.

Although ofcourse the first track session was in the pouring rain.

But I reckon a lot of it is to do with the noise, the small engined cars sound like they are screaming their nuts off compared to the big V6, which alters the perspective of speed to onlookers.

F1 cars don't look that quick when you watch them on TV...but in the flesh, it's a totally different thing. Z32s are long geared, so whilst all the little 4 pots are racing through their gears to keep in the power band, the Z is progressively powering through it's long gears giving a different feel to watching them.

.

the first run was slow due to the weather

the second run was a lot faster, not seen any viseos of that yet

in the second run i didnt actually look at the speedo but i was doing 6k to 6.5k revs most of the way round 3rd gear for corners and 4th gear for straights. so was probably doing between 90mph and 130mph. Jimmy, Marco and Paul were all going faster than that

I rode with Jimmy on both runs, the first was slow but the second, I think Jimmy must've hit 120-130 at times when I glanced down. Not sure if it looked slow but it certainly felt quick!! Especially through the corners!

yeah it does look slow from the outside lol, but as si has said above the longer gears give a false impression as though the cars are cruising along. The front wheel driven cars can cain it much earlier out of the corners in high revs which does sound as tho they are going alot quicker.

The first run was pathetic lol, not sure how everyone else was but with mine being very stiff i didnt get much or even any body roll in the wet leaving me with hardly any tyre load, outcome was massive understeer in and out of the corners and zero grip on throttle :(, in the dry however i had plenty of grip and the brakes were working really well, i can remember sumshiftyguy being shuved forwards under braking lol.

He was busy with my rebuild

I know, cause I was with him! LOL. I poured sand into no 3 pot and urinated into no 6. Expect to loose some compression in both those cylinders when you get the engine back! :wack:
