Hi all just wander what the oil pressure should be when cold, hot, idle and running? mine seems to be sitting at 0 nearly all the time, what could cause this problem??

The most common reason is the sender unit; replace it and the gauge will perform as before.

 

It is expensive though - around £80 for the part.

The stock gauges are certainly not known for there reliability lol, as above could either replace sender, or considering the price you could just buy some aftermarket gauges

believe me you would know your cars is not running right with no pressure.

Just buy a aftermarket gauge which has a sender etc for like 50quid :D

I've managed to fit 5 of the buggers, so I'd say no. The oil pressure sender for aftermarket gauges connects to a sandwich plate between the oil filter and engine. Then it's just a case of running a wire to the gauge and providing power.
