Fairlady is the JDM name for all Zs regardless of style. This name was only used on the JDM cars. 240 all the way to 370 use the 'Fairlady' name in Japan. Outside of Japan, it's purely known as the Z car range.

Cheers for that,just i was speaking to a guy who had a gear box for sale but dont no if it came out of a swb or a lwb and the car been crushed so im just trying to find a way of telling the diffence so he can describe it to me and i will no wots he got with out telling him wot car ive got.;)

Gearboxs are the same. Only differences are in the gearing and I think some bearings (but that's between TT and NA). Casings are the same size.

All mechanicals are the same between LWB/SWB, except for the different length propshaft.

I would be very wary of a s/h Auto box from a source that you dont trust completely.
