wood is soo much easier to keep clean gets my vote. Doesn't harbour crap that can trigger allergies either didn't riddick have a skin prob or summit? deffo better of with wood.

does she know what you call her lol

do you keep riddicks toe nails down or he will slip and slide and scratch a wood/laminate floor to hell!

yeah i keep his nails cut, it was me that had the allergy mate, it was a chest infection, the bitch knows what she gets called lol

Proper floor boards, flag stone tiles or carpet. Don't get laminate. Horrible tacky stuff.

there is some good stuff out now just depends on how much you want to spend.

wooden floors are really good for keeping clean and keeping the smells out.

But it makes a really annoying sound with dogs.

the veneered v jointed floors are fine they look pretty good. Plain sanded boards don't give you much choice.... softwood(usually badly fitted by shoddy 1st fix chippies on price work) that's about it unless you are gonna pay serious money.

We have a wood floor and if the dog goes for a walk in the middle of the night you can hear him but I would still prefer that to carpet, especially with a dog in the house.

you cant beat the old carpet mate..my sisters got a jack russel and the fvkin sound of its claws on her laminate makes me want to boot it right up the hole:mad:..told her to make it ware 2 pairs of socks when i visit her

carpet mate:bow:

We have wood floors downstairs and with two dogs I would not recommend carpet, the amount of mud and other rubbish they bring into the house from the garden is amazing, especially in the winter. If we had carpet it would be a right state, but with the wood we just mop over it and its gone.

If I did not have the dogs I would go with carpet.

dont get laminate its crap LOL we have amtico in the living room and its stood up well with our boxer dog, we fit karndean in my mums and she has 2 boxers and again its stood up really well and doesnt make that clicky sound that laminate gives

obviously amtico/karndean is more expensive than laminate but you cant compare the 2 and its cheaper than a good quality solid wood floor which is also crap LOL

my old man used to fit amtico floor for commercial properties. Used to be very expensive. We've had it in our main entrance foyer at work for 20 years now and it still looks good. What's the fitted price per sq metre of amtico now out of interest kirbz?
