I have this thread posted http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=125525 but when I plugged in conzult and read ecu fault codes first was error 34 knock sensor, second try and the screen said 'reading' and then the screen filled with

 

ddddddddddddddddddddddddddreading......

 

The dddd kept getting longer, same eveytime after 4-5 goes. Never seen this, any ideas???

Well before you start panicing i would try using the laptop, software and cable on another Z... See what that does.

sounds like a fault with the pc or interface..no way ive ever seen that text on my conzult;) could be one of those ebay conzult copys..there was a batch made that had a very bad stutter when excited:D:D

I think it's the laptop as it is Tubz's system and when we used it on the weekend again on his car it was fine and the laptop was less tempromental!
