Just pulled a cute little bird, but need some help...!

Found this little thing wandering around on my driveway. Walked over to it expecting it to fly off and it didn't. So I went to pick it up and it scurried over to the lawn, tried to take off but couldn't. So picked it up and took it inside.

It duly shat on me, but didn't put up a fight to get away, so just sat with it in my hand now keeping it warm, but also fighting off the cat who wants to eat it.

Thinking it may have flown into a window and knocked some of the stuffing out of it. Not too sure what to do with the poor little thing??

Its eyes are wide open, but look closed in the pic. Not sure what it is, its quite small. Maybe a sparrow?

No!!! I might be a **** at times, but I'm not cruel! lol

Just checked, it's not a sparrow.

Being a little birdy too its prob going to want water & worms dropped into its mouth like mommy bird does... get a little syringe and squirt a drop of water on its beak, hopefully it'll open its gob and you can pop another in there... If it doesnt, its prob too weak and will peg it within a few hours :(

I'll go down to One-Stop and see if they have some worms. lol

Have some seeded bread here. Might give it some of that.

Well, the bird perked up a little. Think it was only a small one. I took it outside and across the road to the field behind my house and threw it up into the air. It was a bit uneasy on its wings, but flew a little bit and landed on a tree. So I think it may have more of a chance than in my hands! LOL

as an security engineer im sick of birds flying into windows, they set off vibration sensors and cause activations all the time - especially at like 3 in the morning...... i found dead heron couple of days ago at the back of a house with a cartoon style imprint on the sash window where it'd tryed to fly into the room lol!! happens alot unfortunately

iv'e had to do thats, it's really not nice :(

I've done that to a rabbit. Saw one writhing around in the road after a previous collision with another car. Turn my car around, and just drove over it to finish the poor bugger off. It would have died anyway as it was completely fecked.

Yep was definately a baby sparrow.

I've got a nice pair of tits in my back garden ;)

Blue tits in a bird box I put up and can hear the babies chirping away inside aawwwww! :D

You want to be careful doing that; my dad ran over a rabbit a few years back (accidentally) and somehow its bones managed to puncture both ns tyres!

He reckoned it was revenge from all the ones he HAD aimed for :)

Chris

Ive helped a few birds over the years but we have a speciality bird vet so we give them to him to look after.
