OK, I know it's not a Z (In the Nissan sense) but I just thought someone here might be interested before it goes to a wider audience.

 

Not been ridden for a while but does start. In fact not been ridden since last engine rebuild was completed - 11 years ago. frown.gif

Used to be pretty fast, speedo has been calculated as being fairly accurate and it used to indicate XXXmph (no point in tempting fate!) biggrin.gif

1105cc, high compression, sensible cam timing - pulls like a train, Power estimated to be close to 120BHP

 

Chassis:

  • Harris Magnum II - No. HP698, blue powder coated frame, WP remote resovoir rear mono shock with adjustable damping & springing
  • Wheels: Front: Astralite 18" x 3.5"
  • Rear: Astralite 18" x 6"
  • Forks: GPz750 Turbo with modified hydraulic anti-dive & Telefix fork brace
  • Tyres: Front: Avon AM22 110/70VB18
  • Rear: Avon AM23 150/70VB18

Engine:

  • Z1000J crankcases, gearbox and cams
  • GPz1100A2 crank, barrels, pistons and cylinder head
  • 4:1 Harris exhaust with legal silencer
  • Z1000J carbs, jetted with individual K&N filters
  • Cylinder barrels - skimmed
  • Cylinder head skimmed, valves lapped & carb rubbers matched to inlet ports
  • Estimated to be close to 120BHP

Bodywork:

  • Aluminium Harris tank with aircraft style filler
  • Harris top half fairing with tinted screen and twin Cibie's
  • Dual seat tail unit

Brakes:

  • Front: GPz750 Turbo callipers and master cylinder
  • Rear: Brembo miniature calliper and Harris master cylinder
  • Aeroquip brakelines throughout

Clocks:

  • Kawasaki GPz750 Turbo

Extras:

  • 34mm Mikuini smoothbores with filtered bellmouths
  • AP Lockheed callipers and master cylinder
  • Spare pair of tyres
  • Clear fairing screen
  • Front and rear stands
  • Full original documentation & wiring diagram etc
  • Other odds 'n' ends

No mirros, no indicators - full committment !

 

Needs some tidying obviously, but the engine does run, just expect to take it away on a trailer, unless you're going to move into my garage for a couple of days to get it ready for the road.

Price, well for an appreciating classic like this then we're talking roughly £2000

BTW the dust is free and I may cry when it goes - I built it myself and it alone was responsible for most of the damage to my licence wink.gif
