Hi All,

I removed my old ICE unit at the weekend ready for the new one and after I had finished, the passenger window would not close?. They cannot be connected surely?. I cannot find a fuse either. Apart from the motor suddenly giving up the ghost, is there anywhere else it can lose supply from i.e a fuse that I don't know about.

Cheers.

Hi mate

Silly question but have you pressed the switch on the drivers side window lockout switch?

  • Author

OH NO!!!. Does that effect both switches. I had just polished the interior. Damn f**k I have taken the door to bits!.

Please tell me that's not it!.

I SUCK!.

I'm pretty sure that if you've disconnected the switch on the drivers door then the passenger window won't work, even from it's own switch.

No sorry I haven's disconnected the drivers door switch but there is a very good chance that the pass door window isolation switch is down with me cleaning it. I meant, if it is down does it disable the driver and passenger window switch for the passenger window?. or should I still be able to operate the pass window from the drivers door?

Cheers.

Just checked for you buddy and when the button is pressed down the passenger window will not work from the passenger AND drivers switch!

BAAASTAARD!!!. Now I'll have to rebuild the door and most of the clips are crushed.

I REALLY SUCK!!.

Thanks for the help though guys.

Cheers.

Why do you need to rebuild the door? As long as both switches (passenger and drivers) are plugged in, and the isolator switch is not on, then the window should work. The door doesn't have to be together just to have the switch plugged in to the wires.

DOH!. I took the door to bits to check the motor. I have checked the window and it works. Are you suggesting I drive around with the door in bits?.

You said you were going for the rat look didn't you...

(I'm a bit confused, but hey, as long as it's all working for you now!)
