Just listening to the new Depeche Mode album - Sounds Of The Universe.

Half way through it so far and very impressed. haven't got around to watching the DVD that came with it yet, but hoping to over the weekend

 

Anyway, just a quick album recommendation :D

I love Depeche mode! Good choice there Dave!

Been a fan for years, got all of their albums including a further 11 remix albums (most of which are very good :D

I liked them in the early days back in the 80's but didnt like the change in style when they came back. Might have to check this new one out though.

I've only got a few of theirs. Like them in general though. Not listened to them for ages. Gotten me in the mood to have a rummage through my CDs!

 

Now listening to stuff on youtube! :bow:

I can't get that La Roux song out my head very 80s inspired and eerie vocals.

Off to see them at the o2 in December. Never been a massive fan but the missus loves them so couldn't really say no!

Seem the Mode quite a few times live now but distinctly remember seeing them play at Crystal Palace way back in...[cough] [cough]...with the Sisters of Mercy supporting (I'm a fan of Temple of Love but that's about it!)...was quite funny seeing the clusters of teenage Sisters fans in their matching frilly white shirts and bad make-up mixing in with the Mode fans! :wack:

 

And I'm going to see them again at the NEC....whoop! :D :D

Hopefully (may) be going to see them in October (NEC)

Anyway just got around to listening to all three CD's and watching the DVD. Yes I've got the special edition 3 CD & DVD box set (and I'm not saying what I paid for it ;) ) This is an awesome album set, well worth it if you get the chance, the Demo's are fantastic, and the remixes are stunning! I'd say the box set is only for the die-hard fan though as it's quite expensive.
