April 29, 200916 yr This might sound a bit mental but is there any legal requirement to have the boot in place whilst driving? :) The reason i ask is the tailgate is coming off my breaker tonight and i might need to drive it tomorrow for a few miles. Can i just say it's a pick up? lol Cheers
April 29, 200916 yr I don't think there is a legal requirement to have the bootlid/tailgate in place. it is no different than a cabriolet where only the back of the roof opens / folds down.
April 29, 200916 yr its not structural either, I cant imagine it being a legal issue. It will be very noisy and cold however if your going on the motorway
