I think medium is for when you havent clayed your car for ages and soft if you maintain your paintwork regularly. i would just got for medium, just make sure the surface is nice and wet when you use it.

Pete

clay isn't for polishing all it does it remove bonded contaminents from your paint which snow foam and washing can't

^^^^ What he says, but glad you knew that anyway :D

What it will do is give you smooth clean paintwork to then start applying polishes and waxes to. If your paintwork is in reasonable condition it should come up really nice.

Ive read the thread on here, and also read some reports, paint work is realy good, but need to get it better, the only thing the reports dont tell you, is the diffrence between medium and soft clay ,and the prices vary a lot between the makers so ive orderd the from the top of the price range, from the US and the cheap one from the uk ,see what the diffrence is the uk one was only £9.00 the one from the US was $65 but that included the spray lube

ouch, the US one seems expensive. Let us all know how you get on anyway would be interested to learn from your experiment :)

the best one to go for is the ZYMOL one its about £25 quid & does a great job! i have tried cheaper ones & one of them actually scratched the paintwork!!! so be carefull ...you get what you pay for...but i wouldnt spend more than £25 on them!
