hi, i'm new got hold of a 300zx,

 

it has a couple of problems not too sure if they are related or not so advice would be good :)

 

got it washed and polished today, so here are some nice shiney pics :D

 

 

looks VERY good for 17 yr old paint i think:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

thoughts and opinions please guys? i'm new to 300zx's need to know good and bad about this,

 

spec:

lightened flywheel,

cometic head gaskets,

lightened overdrive,

stage 3 chip,

2up boost controler,

shift light,

exedy clutch,

KYB G20 rear shocks,

big break conversion,

Tomie inlet cams,

highflow air filter,

twin BOVs,

lightened crank pully,

Borla Exhaust system,

recon turbos,

new valves, new center bearing on prop,

new cam belt

new water pump,

new MAF,

rebuilt engine,

 

 

 

 

now for the problems,

tps is faulty, giving a reading of 0.24, instead of 0.44, is it just a case of adjusting it or do i need a new 1?

 

and i'm not sure if it's conected but when i put my foot down it splutters and feels like it cuts out, like a fuel cut or somthing? as if i turned the engine off, but come back on it's own after 2-3 seconds.......but only when i put foot down, its ok under normal driving.....

 

 

 

thoughts please guys, good and bad, be honest :D

also, could 1 of the mods please change my name to lukeX2 please? signed up for this ages ago to have a look around and see what to expect from 1 but didn't get 1 till now :D

orange 1 says nissan, (mesh is orange to match) not my 1st choice but will change that later.

 

white 1 says abflug, came with the kit apparently

ahhh ok just could'nt make them out soz , glad there not staying though :)

 

would look good with clear side indicators and 99" spec rear lights

and wanna change rear bumper at a later date

yeah lambo style , not to my taste but you should'nt have a problem sourcing them , what rear bumper you thinking of putting on ?

To be honest i like the Z as it is anyway , and will not be altering the look of mine dramatically however, I’ve always been a fan of the 99 spec lights when incorporated with the other clear lights available

 

a tastefully modified Z with a nice stance always gets my vote over a highly altered one just my thought !

 

but it's you’re car so 100% a matter of personal taste

Very nice, I like it. Thoughts? Just a few little things I'd change. The red meshing needs to go or be painted black. Would remove that strange orange graphic on the skirts, fit clear indicators in place of the carrots and fit some 99-spec rear lights. Job jobbed, so not much. :)

 

Would probably neutralise the terrible colour clash in the engine bay too.

yeh, not a fan of the orange to be honest, but i only got it wednesday and thats how it was,
