I am wanting to upgrade my engine oil cooler and from reading past posts a 19 row one is the way to go. What ones are you guys running or any recommendations?

Yes 19 row is perfect for the engine.

Im running a 19row Mocal Oil cooler.

Where is best to get it from?

I'm running a 25 row for the engine oil and a 25 row for the autobox.

They are mounted where the intercoolers used to be ;-)

10- to 13-row half-width coolers are more than sufficient. If you look at rally and GT3 race cars they only ever use a maximum of 13-row coolers and their engines are under far more load/stress than our engines.

I can get every conceivable size cooler and fittings but will need to check on current pricing as that will no doubt have changed since the last time I looked ... :( Will post up costs later or at the weekend.

got mine from setrab, about the best you can get as they put them on rollers, bentleys etc i bought mine direct from them at half the price you will pay for others!! well worth looking into.

trust make a very nice kit but its not cheap

i have standard oil coolers and have an oil temp gauge...

after giving the old girl a bit, the temp is very stable, (between 80-90).

i have a modded engine, tubs, smic... etc.

i have to agree with dan (DTA) on this one.

but for £40 (setrab), as jim say, i would buy 'em!! (it's cheap!!)

are you absolutely sure you have a standard Jap engine oil cooler ?

The Standard Jap cooler is proven to be too small, this is why Nissan fitted a 19row oil cooler as standard for all UK and European models.

Its quite common for owners to fit the UK oil cooler to imports.
