Wheel spacers

I am thinking about slightly flaring the rear arches. I do not particularly want to change my wheels, but they probably will look undersized when done. Is adding spacers dangerous and does it effect handling plese?

Thanks.

It can be and yes.

Make sure you choose the correct spacers. There are universal type spacers, hubcentric spacers and bolt-on hubcentric spacers. The first ones can be dangerous. OK if just a thin one, but you really want bolt-on hubcentric spacers. Application specific and very strong. They are what I run.

Make sure your fronts don't sit too far inward as flaring out just the rears will give it a bit of a goofy look.

It can sometimes effect the handling, usually only on the fronts. Tram-lining can sometimes be exaggerated. But generally not that much as most people with spacers have 8.5 - 9" front wheels anyway which do far more to the effect of tram-ling than widening the front track.

Thanks everyone for advice. I think the flared arches will be no more than a couple of inches or so as I do want it to fit im my garage.lol
