But alas the photo doesn't show how crappy the 99 inserts actually are! Before I can even think about the chroming (or if I'll have them chromed even) they'll need a lot of hacking and filling to look half decent.

I've had these for about three years now and was so disgusted in how crap they were when they turned up, that I just left them at my dads house and didn't bother with them. Well i picked them up this afternoon, when i picked up the turbos and am going to give them a proper go this time around.

Not sure whether to have them chromed or colour-coded! Any thoughts?

I've only seen colour coded on a white zed, and it looked amazing, made me think about doing it to mine :)

As for the price I paid, I'm not saying (cant actually remember TBH) but YES I did pay for them, and after they eventually turned up (think it took about four months of repeated delays) I was just sick of the whole process and couldn't be bothered to do anything about it any longer.

 

Anyway, it looks like they have gone onto a further stage over on the US site and are now available from a different supplier (although could be from the same moulds) and are supplied in better condition (but I can't confirm that)

I will be doing almost the same as what is shown in these picture (on the link) and cutting the inserts to fit the existing insert and moulding together for a much better finish..... Halfords here I come! :D

I saw that a few months ago Dave and right then i knew i was going to have some at some point! :D
