Hey all

My ABS light has suddenly come on. It does not come on whan you turn the car on but only when you have driven a short distance. I have checked the fuse which is fine.

Any other obvious suggestions?

Hiya,

Sound like a wheel sensor, good thing it is easy to do a built in diagnostic, and easy to swap a sensor.

Right the ecu for the ABS is located behind the panel drivers side by the rear seat squab.

There is a diagnostic led on the unit which can be seen by pushing the seat squab down so the apature where the seat belt goes in opens up and you can look into the darkness and see it flashing.

So right first go for a drive until the ABS light comes on, when you can pull over or return home, do NOT switch off the engine, take a look at the location I mentioned, be patient as the light flashes slowly, stops for a moment and then repeats the error code, just count the number of flashes and post it up and can tell you which sensor it is.

Cheers
