I like the look and feel of my standard rims and they are in great condition but was thinking they'd look better black. Any one got any ideas where/who does that and general cost?

Cheers,

Lots of newspapers and Glossy Spray paint with a warm place to store them will be fine :) Few coats then some lacquer and you'll be laughing at transforming your wheels for 30quid!!!

Black wheels work better with a more open design and a deep dish. I reckon that just spraying the stock wheels black will make it look like the car is wearing steel wheels with the hub caps removed.

Have to agree with Legrath, they do look like steelies when painted black mate. imo the only other colour that suits stock wheels is the special edition chromed ones. I think they were an upgrade for US zeds.

Most black wheels i'm not a fan of - they blend in with the tyres and therefore with the road also and look very unspectacular :( If they have a nice silver/polished dish they can look good tho :)

Standard wheels - i'd say a deffo no, but its your car and if its what you want just take munnys advice and do it yourself - peice of piss.

Agree with whats already been said. Black wheels just don't do it for me. Especially on a black car.

But hey, it's what you like that counts

I only asked because my brohter has a black RX8 with black (standard) alloys, black badges, lights etc and it looks super stealth so was thinking along the same lines. But I appreciate your feedback

could always go for a contrast as in White wheels on Black car!!!

*Awaiting Slap* lol

Or just freshen them up with some Silver/ grey!
