Hey all

Spent yesterday with the help of a friend installing my new ice. Ive dynamatted the doors and boot and fitted some JL VR650 comps in the front and a Pioneer TSWX77A active sub in the boot. This fits perfectly under the false floor.

It sounds awesome really really recomended. I took it out for a spin yesterday and it was great on all counts. I have fitted the front tweeters with the recessed mounts in the door cards and they look really good.

Really pleased!! :hyper:

Hi mate

The doors were pretty straight forward to do just time consuming. I'll post up some pics in a bit. Cheers

Looks like you went to a fair bit of trouble there mate! Nice one

Thanks buddy

I'm really chuffed as it sounds awesome. Did not take any more pics of the doors but they are sound deadened also.

Cheers again mate

Looks great bud. Very interested in having a listen to that sub (just done some reading on it). Excellent solution if you want to keep the boot space

Cant recomend it highly enough Steve. It was 200 delivered and the shape of it is perfect for a zed.

I didn't realise you had the sub hidden away like that...looks very very interesting indeed mate! I may just come phishing for ideas/links in the future! lol

Was originally going to go for a JL 12 inch sub in an enclosure but then came across this and thought i'd give it a try. Its 8cms thick and has two 6 inch flat subs with heavy duty magnets. It really does the trick and does not steal any boot space. My toolkit and a set of jump leads are under the mat beneath the sub. Obviously the space saver has gone.

That is very well thought out mate, take a bow !

Always nice to see a well planned, and executed project.

So much better than a boot full of MDF, covered in cheap material !:smw:

If its ok with you, I would like to post your work on another forum ?

Non Zed Related, but the guys are open-minded as to marque.

Hey mate thanks for the kind words. Yes please do post away!

That's truly brilliant, i had no idea they even made that. Where did you get it from for £200? Was thinking of it for the V8 to keep the boot space

Hi All

I have now been living with this setup for a month or so and I thought i would let you know how its going.

I like a range of music from Eva Cassidy to Powderfinger to the Chemical brothers, This setup makes everything sound rich and vibrant, its not harsh and there are no cringing trebly bits that sound like they have been processed. All of the sound is well balanced clear and warm. I cannot reccomend the speakers enough for the money all of them came to less than 300 aquids and they perform amazingly. I was listening to the prodigy very loud and was really impressed with the clarity and sound stage that the system produced.

So IMHO save yourself the bother of custom housing etc and get this setup it will keep you smiling all day every day.

Looks very nice, not seen those subs before, they look like a good idea if the sound is still good.

Its only rated at 200 watts but I only have it turned at one quarter and its plenty load enough. Does not distort or fart like cheap crap.
