is it legal for a wheel to protrude from a wheel arch, just fitted new wheels 10" width wheels and they sit out by my estimation 5 cm looks odd i know but whats the law....may look at flaring arches...thanks in advance

Featured Replies

Yes Craig it is but I would be more concerned that when you drive over speed bumps etc that you are going to smash your wheel arches to pieces and shred lumps from your tyres.

thanks so they have to sit inside the arch...would flaring arches be the way to go, wide arch is not an option at moment?

problem solved stick with current wheels....to much hassle...wheels going back to my brother

Well thats one way to solve your problem :p

law might be different where you live mate, tt.net is probably a better place to ask

good point!! i should read more!!

5cm is 5cm though....law or not, thats very dangerous, the tyre will hit the arch with every bump and even under hard cornering.
