hi all. anyone bought a conzult from e.bay ?- $32.99 plus $7.99 postage and import duty- about a tenner.company called virtual village. just wondering whether or not these are any good? many thanks.

I actually have bought one!

 

Have had it working on Conzult free so far, will try other programs in due course.

most people get them to work, mine started smoking and blew a capacitor when i turned it on (but must have been a fault capacitor cause it was soldered in the right way).

 

would have been cheaper ($30euro posted) to get a better quality cable from here: http://www.ecutalk.com/interface.aspx

 

there is also links to free software on that page ^ obd scantech is pretty good for a complete package, ecutalk is good for the gauges/logging if u dont need the rest, esp the trip meter/economy sensors.

any problems downloading software sent or running on vista?

 

Only tried it on XP so far. I tend to keep away from Vista :P Will install windows 7 when it's past the beta test stage.
