i was bored today so i thought i know i will start working on the zed while im waiting for some parts to get here from america

 

so i went out jacked it up so i could take the exhaust off so i can fabricate my singles into an x pipe coz there better

 

anyway... got under there to find that someone had snapped a bolt off of each side allready :)

 

put the socket on and turned it and off the nut came easy much to my suprise then i put it on the other one on the same side that did the same so all good

 

now the other side......

 

got onto the first one turned it and snap thought of great so i then looked at the last one and saw that it had allready been broken before but someone had drilled it out and put a nut and bolt through that is about 2 1/4" :rofl:

 

found a socket that fitted it and a few spanners for the head of the bolt but nothing at all would fit and theres no room toget anything on it

 

so i was laying under the car thinking hmmmmmm

 

when it started hailstoning really hard so i pulled my legs under the car for a minute or to hopeing it would pass after about 3 mins the water was starting to run under the car so i went into the house and waited untill it had stopped

 

went back out side to find i had left my window undone and the car was very very wet :headvswal

 

so i got a rag wipped the seat and sat in to move the car (after i let it back down on the floor) moved it got out grabbed the rag off the seat to find it had paint on it that is now on the my interior :rant: :rant:

haha, i was under my car today fitting whitline sway bars, also started p1ssing down so i did the same and stayed under the car got soaked but i carried on anyway hahaha, When doing the front sway bar one of the bolts started spinning inside the thread... Big DOH!!! so i had to weld a thread inside the hole but had to take the big plate bracket off that holds the tractiopn rods and sway bar brackets in, welded it striaght in there. Burnt my hands and neck with the welder and got soaked all worth it tho, I put the front sway bar on the stiffest setting, too much tho will need to get back under there and soften it up. Its never easy with these things lol

haha no but i know what you mean im not so botherd as im taking the engine out anyway so i can drill the remainder for the studs out and nut and bolt them all as for the seat i dunno what im gonna do possibly try some thinners on it :)

well thats a good thing jimmy makes me feel better now knowing i wasnt the only one out side in the set under a zed mate :)

R32's are light and with a good tune they are rapid

 

300zx may have a fair bit of power but its still heavy and doesnt have the traction

 

I realised this since driving my 250hp mr2 turbo, 2nd and 3rd its easy as quick as my old 400hp z

glad you have a plan though...

 

Thinners mght be your best bet but try not to let it dry too much......

try thinners as a last resort if it on leather!!! it can take the colour out very easily white spirit might be less harmfull? test it 1st or some citreous wipes the hand cleaner ones!(scrubs i think they're called)
