This is a Jap Spec? shock: How long as it been in the UK?

Any idea why its so bad?

Good on you anyway for keeping another Z on the road!

ive got the interior carpet to change on mine, did the back seats have to come out to change it

IIRC, I think you can just pull the rear seat up off its clips and prop it up a little. The carpet doesn't go all the way under, it just tucks under and is push clipped down.

Good luck fixing that, I scrapped mine which was in a similar state, but mine was a uk car, I'm surprised at the state of that if its a jap import.

I found 20p, a biro and a hair grip under my seats when I stripped it.

yea luckily its at a very good price growing up with my mechanic helps too!!

£450 for all paint work and outside rust removal welding and replating and treatment of the surrounding areas + side skirts being fully blended + the lines in the front, rear and doors removed and smoothed, both rear quarters, doors both wings bonnet done and the roof painting black (basically a complete respray bar the boot and spoiler) +a full under body under seal and waxoil (not too sure what that that entails) i will be helping/ watching lol! all of this!

£480 for all the welding and rust removal on the inside + 6 spark plugs + front caliper re-con, new discs and pads + adjustable tie rods + gearbox + diff oil, and hand brake re adjusted + shoes put on, aiv removal + i owe him for the fitment and fabrication of the entire exhaust system wich he forgot i owed him for.....

anyway think its a good price tbh and of course iv got my new wheels to put on!!

its had a really bad targa leak iv fixed it now tho.... tbh ill never let this or any of my cars die because of a little bit of rust, we've restored worse, and welding isnt the most difficult/time consuming/ expensive thing to do - i dont get why most people run a mile at the site of holes in sills - i suppose the garages in this country love to charge the earth for a bit of welding

Can't believe the state of that

Mine was brought in 2006 and is absolutely 100% rust free in every aspect! And it will stay that was as i intend on getting it on a ramp this summer and spending a couple of days adding protection

i was under the impression mine was virtually completly free of rust until i pulled the carpet up to remove the cat plugs....

Well i can safely say mine is, cos i've had everything stripped out at one time or another

yep, you have to watch /inspect your underseal. Also check for missing grommets in the floorpan

Ditto.. as recently a 3 weeks ago.......

still need to underseal the whole car though......

why aint you spaying the boot, wouldn't it be better to spray the whole lot as you are doing so much??

will be inspecting the new one I got tomorrow, will be fun
