After reading some other forums (different car) it seems that they have a different view on what car porn is. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not a real enthusiast.

 

I mean, if someone puts a post up and mentions car porn I take it as it's a nice car with stiripped off, restored to new or modified in a tasteful way.

 

I look at it and think yeah the guys done a good job. I don't look at it and get tempted to bash one out.

 

Are there really people out there that see cars and get sexually excited by them?. Surely that's not right !

Personally I see 'Car Porn' as an extreamly nice/good example of a particular marque. As you say Stu, maybe an original/restored 240Z or even a nice Lambo Countach LP500 etc, I can't say I've ever been tempted to 'bash one out' though :rofl:

The films Ronin and Smokey and the Bandit are car porn. Videos that solely focus on continuous repeated car shots are also car porn.

so basically its all about media / film TV perception....which i can agree with but i'd also add any car which makes you wander over and take a close look is in the same area

Personally car porn means a really good looking car - it does not get me sexually excited :rofl:

Reminds of that old joke about the bloke who made love to a Princess but burnt his dick on the exhaust!

 

Car porn to me is a really good looking car that makes me want to buy one i.e. a zed or GT-R vspec
