I've measured the size of the hex drive and it comes out at 7.5mm, problem is nobody seems to make a 7.5mm  I've tried both AF and metric but nothing fits :headvswal.

Was there a nissan tool for removing the prop from the diff?

Help :(

DAve, sorry havent been able to get near a motor mart, ive got six spare, but might need them as im replacing my clutch this saturday, if i dont i can send them to you early next week. I used an 8mm allen key socket from Halfrauds and they came off no probs.

Stu

if you dont have the correct size there is a different way you can do it but it depends if you have the tools

if you have a welder ur away coz all you have todo it get say a 10mm bolt and tack weld it to the hex bolt then undo

i know that might not help you in the slightest .....

another way is to cut a flat screwdriver to the correct size and clamp a set of mole grips on to the shaft and try that :)

hth

with the 2nd way i prefer using a set of foot prints as the harder you push the tighter the grip gets :)

Stu - No worries mate :) so yours came off with an 8mm? I'll give it another go with an 8!

If that fails I'll try Matt's advice :D
