in time with engine speed. the new alternator i got had a supressor on it to which i thought would be good but through my amplified speakers i get a alternator whine! went out and bought a ground loop isolator and i still have the noise. seperated the power and speaker cable and still there!! im at my wits end and need to stop this whine! help

 

btw i have a tt alternator on an na car but i doubt it would make bugger all difference

i remember my old mk3 fiesta rs1800 did this and a mate swopped over the way the washers and live wires were bolted on the alternator and it stopped it, cant remember exactly why or how he did it now lol

on the older cars , u can get these little surpressors, which come off the live ( ithink) and then bolt onto the earth, this always stopped noise coming through radios on older cars never tried it on a later car tho
